::Downtown Oakland has an amazing coffee scene, and Awaken adds to that. Such great coffee and very kind baristas. So silky smooth with excellent flavor. There's plenty of seating inside as well. Just FYI there isn't any Wi-Fi. If you go in the late afternoon, the pastries are likely gone so go early if you want a snack as well!

::Great place to read and enjoy a cappuccino. Glad this place is open later than most coffee shops. Felt very cozy and the staff was super nice!

::5/5 place if you're into coffee, staff really pays attention to the process of preparing a drink for you. They offer some sweets and baked goods that all look good, just tried a cookie and it was sweet, salty and tasty. Super friendly service. The location is quite big so I guess it can feel quite loud during busy hours. Good variety in seating options. Worth noting - they also sell a lavender scented disinfectant spray that I'd highly recommend to get a bottle of!

::Super chill coffeeshop with lots of seating, great atmosphere, and good music taste (they were playing Thundercat!) and of course, GREAT coffee. We got a lavender latte and a cortado, both 10/10. Clean bathrooms, no wifi though. I'll definitely come back, seems like a good spot to hang with friends or sit down with a good book.
