I drifted in here after an afternoon of cycling around Fremont running errands and took the bartender's recommendation. The light rose with mushroom tempura was just what the doctor ordered to punctuate a pleasant da

Fantastic experience. Fine dining, incredible ingredients, but without the pretentiousness that usually comes with it. Best dinner in Seattle.

The food was unexceptional for the price, and the service was relatively passive and underwhelming. By the time my girlfriend and I left, we were both somewhat exhausted and miserable. I wouldn't recommend this compared to some of Seattle's other premiere restaurants. One huge issue with the experience was the abysmal planning and order of the courses. Oysters to start was a bold and disappointing move, the salty flavour outweighed the garnish. This was a common issue throughout the meal, heavy dishes were overpowered with strong and unusual flavors, just not in a good way. Not to mention the fact that the tasting menu, allegedly curated by the "chef" was basically just the listed 5 course menu with some oysters and a disgusting pile of tasteless amuse bouchè.

Without a doubt, one of the best restaurant & fine dining experience in Seattle. Every dishes were delicious, cozy and relaxed atmosphere, and friendly servers. This place will definitely be on the top of my list for special occasion.

Great decor, ambiance, and flavors. It’s definitely in the upscale category based on the formality of service and price point (menu prices seem reasonable until they recommend 2-3 plates per person). It was the best gnocchi I’ve EVER had though.
