  I really want to support this business--as I wish to support local businesses in general. I loved this shop under the care of "Maria" before it changed hands. However, each time I have gone to this cleaner and tailor since it has become "Alps Dry Cleaners," I have been frustrated. First, I took a scarf in to be dry cleaned, and it was returned to me wrinkled. When I asked why it hadn't been ironed, I received a shrug in reply. I've been quoted some rather exorbitant prices for patching a pair of pants. More recently, when I brought my blazer in to have the lining replaced, I received a quote of $50.00 higher than I was given before. I was told that my blazer--mind you, the same length as the previous blazer that I had brought in--was now considered a "jacket." I told the gentleman behind the counter that I would like to continue to do business with them, but that I was dismayed by their business practices. In reply, he walked away from me. I'm so disappointed.
