::Jim had come by to replace our thermostats with the correct ones that were ordered a year ago when we had both units completely replaced, he had mentioned to me that the ones he was sent with were worse than the ones i already have. He said he would get to the bottom of this and get the correct size and display units that we should have gotten from the beginning and would come back as quickly as he can. not sure how long we will have to wait, but just that kind of service is reputable.

::I was very happy with the service I received from all three servicemen who came to my house. Bo checked my air conditioner. He also noticed corrosion on my water tanks. He said I needed new ones before they exploded. When I complained about my bathroom sink drain, he checked on it, blew it out so it is now draining much better. Craig came two days later and installed 2 new water tanks . What a hard worker he was! He did not have the drain plug needed for my bathroom but arranged for Michael to bring it to me the next day. Of course ,I may end up in the poorhouse trying to pay for the water tanks but all three servicemen were very knowledgeable ,friendly and helpful. They are welcome in my house anytime.

::2nd EDIT: They have yet to return my call after 48+ hours. This is the third time they've said they'd call me and then didn't. Stars keep dropping... EDITED: I'm changing this to 3 stars, and it may drop further, depending on what happens next. Our yearly service revealed an issue with the starter motor, a part that should be simple to replace but for some reason is going to take at least 2 weeks to get (even though there's a local plant) and then who knows how long before they schedule the work. This is the first time I've ever needed ACE to handle something actually being wrong. I'm not real impressed with the process. Supposedly, this is about the most common thing that can go wrong with an AC unit. What kind of AC repair company doesn't carry this part? Doesn't bode well... Oh, and we live in AZ - this may not seem like a big deal to people who live in places where it's still cool, but we're in the 90s already. This is a big deal. ACE has handled our AC and plumbing for years and has always been terrific. Their techs are fantastic - answering questions, explaining everything they do, and they always remember to close the gate when they leave the backyard (important when you've got dogs). Oh, and our dogs love them - always a good sign!

::Called early this morning to see if I could get a estimate on insulation for my attic. They asked if I was available today for a tech to come out. Was a little surprised that they would come out the same day. Daniel, came by, checked out my attic, checked out square footage of my house and gave me three different options. I picked out the best option for me and insulation is scheduled for tomorrow . Daniel was very polite and professional. Had all the answers to my questions and didn't put any pressure on me. A real good experience. Thanks for great service.
