  I feel like I am part of the staff here because of how often I have to tell them that they are out of cleaning solution for the machines!!! Probably twice a week! It doesn't appear that they actually formally clean any of the machines either, as the same sweat drops are on the treadmills each day. You will rarely get a greeting, or even see someone at the front desk here. I only go here because it is close to my house, and easier to do cardio here than the immaculate location in Scarsdale. I won't lift weights here as the options are limited. Corporate needs to do an overhaul here, and fix this place stat.

  You would think a gym named 24hr fitness was open 24hrs. It's an old Bally's so maybe some renovation is going to happen soon.

  Well from reading the posts, it appears that many of the complaints are concerning the staff and lack of customer service. I find this odd since I applied for a job here three times only to have my application dismissed without even being called in for an interview. They sent an email stating to the effect that they were going to move on to other candidates that better suited their criteria or however they worded it. Obviously they hire kids to save money. I'm retired and have worked out my entire life and have owned and managed businesses in the past, yet I am not qualified. Well, I could at least read a contract and explain it to a potential member and I certainly would not allow members or potential members to stand around for 5 minutes without addressing them. Your loss fitness 24.

  Love this gym. Woman locker room is clean, showers too! And they have very good pool!

  For a gym who to considers itself as a "health club" or claims to benefit towards one's "appearance", 24 Hour Fitness fails on multiple levels. The outside of the Yonkers club particularly in both parking lots and directly at the entrance is littered with garbage, food, debris at a staggering amount. I can not believe the club thinks this is an acceptable appearance for existing and potentially new members. A significant amount of equipment throughout the gym is old and rusted. The entire place needs an entire facelift through out the gym and bathrooms. The ladies room and men's room (according to my friend) is horribly lacking in basic sanitary maintenance; it is down right scary. And when this gym had the option to do updating when it closed for over 6 months they did nothing!! When complaining to the staff or calling customer service at the corporate location (multiple times), it fell on deaf ears. Everyone punted to someone else and no one wants to take responsibility for the sad state of this gym. So, if you truly care about your appearance, this club clearly does not take pride in theirs. Instead, they put the money into building 2 NEW facilities in Pelham and Scarsdale, NY. Existing members at the Yonkers location would have to upgrade their membership to use the new facilities as they call these 2 new locations a "super gym". My opinion, they are simply regular gyms; there is nothing super about them. Shame on you 24 Hour Fitness!!!!!!
