An amazing and significant place where our best men and women not only become soldiers but also officers who lead in times of war. I really enjoyed learning about the history and about campus life. Go visit, I think you will learn a lot.

An absolutely amazing museum. There are lots of rare things on display from both the US and overseas. Make sure you have a lot of time though as you can get lost in the exhibits. There are different parts of the museum, the basement contains some cannons, a FT17 (WW1 French tank). There are also galleries that cover the history of West point and another that covers various conflicts the US was in. Some of them have limited displays like the Korea exhibit, but the items in the exhibit are amazing. There was one thing I found funny which was in part of the Vietnam exhibit there is a photo of a guy from the Australia-New Zealand task force. But it's probably a mistake that it was there. There was one area that I think used to have various helmets used by the different nations in WW2. But that was the only display that wasn't around. One of the galleries is being redone so it might be added back though. The museum increased its collection from the last time I was there. I highly recommend visiting the museum but make sure you have 2 hours at least.

While traveling up US 87 North, we found that we were passing West Point. Having heard so much about it over the years we thought we'd stop and and a look see. Although we didn't actually get on the campus (it was graduation weekend) we were able to go into the Visitor's Center and Museum and what a great experience. The people were super nice and the price was right '0' for the Visitor's Center & Museum, there were bus tours available for a fee. It is a military museum and it had many usual and unusual displays of weaponry, historical tidbits and stories. Its roots go all the way back to 1802 which I thought was pretty amazing. We thought it was well worth the afternoon we spent there and we has the added bonus of the surrounding scenery as well. Attached are just a few of the photo's we captured. Enjoy.

My 14 year old son was very impressed with all the displays and historical pieces presented. He asked me if we could go back again next year and I said absolutely

Amazing staff and an incredible amount of history in such a small footprint. Kids love the lover levels with open displays with vehicles and large weapons. The upper levels offer a great presentation of the history of different phases of the military and various conflicts. Plan some time to stop here. It's free as well!
