Brand new Japanese restaurant serving kaiseki style food. The menu items change monthly so you will get to try different menu items monthly. Service staff is excellent so your cup(s) are never empty and always provide a friendly smile.

The food here is absolutely fabulous! This combined with the beautiful and artistic presentation was an extraordinary experience. Chef Hiro introduces Kaiseki extremely well through his art.

One of my favorite dining experiences of all time. Still in disbelief of how beautiful, refreshing, flavorful and artistically prepared each and every dish was. My husband and I enjoyed it so much we decided we must try each monthly offering. I thought the A5 wagyu uni nigirizushi would be my favorite but the duck breast was phenomenal. I’m normally not even a fan of duck but I am craving every morsel of that dish that was perfectly balanced with fresh bamboo shoot and kumquat. I’m on a cloud just thinking about it. The sous chef was also very welcoming, knowledgeable and it was wonderful getting to see his precision in action playing the dishes. Absolutely a dinner with a chef Hiro is an experience everyone should try to have!!

We went to Wa’z Friday night for their soft opening and had one of the best Japanese meals we have ever had. Kaiseki is as much about the presentation of the food as it is about the food you are eating. In this case, both were wonderful. Each course had its’ own theme and style and was a visual feast as well as a celebration of flavor and presentation. The rice was perfect, you could taste and feel each grain, the ikura had tender outside skins and a great “ocean” flavor, the sturgeon was fresh from the sea while the A5 wagyu beef MELTED IN YOUR MOUTH. One of our favorites was the appetizer, a fantastic combination lotus root, blueberry, tofu, sesame paste with as sprinkling of beets. Other hits were the A5 wagyu beef (the best I have ever had), the glazed fried rice balls, and the sturgeon Karaage. Every course was a hit. This is not your father’s sushi! No rolls here but a pre-set menu, made with the best ingredients, beautifully prepared and presented with a wonderful flavor, professionally prepared, and happily served in front of you.
