The here is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are luxurious without feeling austere, and the bed is so comfy I almost bought one for my home. The restaurant on premises is very good, as well as being a quiet spot for breakfast. The library is a fun lounge area, but can get loud once the night goes on. I'll probably stay here every time I come to Austin if they have rooms available.

Stayed there overnight to attend a wedding. The front desk employees were rude and anything but courteous. In fact, they were they were condescending. The best thing about the hotel was the bellman (Leon), who was cheerful and helpful. He took time to remember my name. Further, the valet parking staff was also very helpful. One must assume they are contracted out. The lighting in the room is poor. The faucet in the bathroom was missing parts and leaked all night long. For an all inclusive hotel... they miss the mark. Lastly, they charge you for incidentals even if don’t use any. They do credit the funds back into your account later, but it’s a slick way to use your money for a few days. Multiply the funds for each guest in the hotel chain, it is another revenue source for the hotel. I will never stay there again... totally overrated and under trained staff. Much better experience at motel 6.

The rooms are very spacious. They're like single bedroom apartments. There are well furnished individual rooms within my room. They are not like the open space rooms common in most hotels, where the only separation is the bathroom. These rooms have a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and living room. The food service is a bit higher in coat, but overall I am pleased.

Great old place in the heart of oak lawn, just a few minutes from downtown and DFW. Great local night life and restaurants within walking distance. A lively living room atmosphere in the lobby with live music on the weekends. Great sunset views and views of downtown. The entrance is actually on the back of the hotel off of Cedar Springs, guidance took us to the front of the hotel that is no longer used and was a little confusing. Will definitely be back for another weekend getaway soon!!

Great and friendly staff. Great customer service. The hotel is charming and the restaurant and bar are well above par. The rooms, for the price, are too small and lack what other 4 stars have. But overall...recommend. also it's in a great part of Dallas.
