  Our second year going there and they have a huge selection even for medicaid insurance. Very pleased with employees. Everyone asks to help you and the Dr. was very good.

  In July 2016, I was visiting Pittsburgh from the UK as I do every year for a convention, and only two days into the convention the flimsy frames I'd gotten from my local optician snapped in my hands as I was cleaning my glasses. I was in an absolute panic since I'm basically blind without them, but a local friend took me across downtown Pittsburgh to Visionworks, and calmly explained the situation to the people working there. Since the lenses of my glasses were still perfectly intact, they immediately began searching through the store for frames that could safely accomodate my lenses, and fortunately they found a pair that fit them more or less perfectly. As it happened, those frames had been on sale for $69.99, but the sale technically ended the previous day, bumping the price back up to $99.99, but the unbelievably kind people at this store stretched the rules for me and got me the $69.99 deal even though I would gladly have paid the full price. These frames have served me well ever since, seeing me through all sorts of bumps and scrapes in my home country and even an impromptu trip to Boston in high winter without a squeak of complaint. The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, my issue was resolved within ten minutes and at an incredibly reasonable price. I'd absolutely recommend Visionworks to anyone in the Pittsburgh area who needs the services of an optician or an optometrist. I'll be in Pittsburgh this year and if something happens with my glasses I know exactly where I'll be going.

  Their walk in appointments saved me tons of time. Although I wish they had a more specific time of when their glasses or contacts would arrive. 7-10 days is pretty broad.
