  Lamont provided my husband with one the best haircuts he has ever received. The barbershop has to be one of the best in the city. Lamont has been cutting his hair for years. Lamont is professional and stays up to date with the latest trends.

  Great barbers in a great location. Lamont is the best and it's very convenient. I always feel like a VIP when I come. I highly recommend Uppercuts!

  Great place for a haircut. Got an awesome cut and trim by Gregorio. He listened to me and understood how I wanted my hair and delivered the best. Greg is a funny man and is amazing at what he do.

  First review (one star): Expensive way beyond the value. Paul gave me the worst haircut I've ever had, while telling me he competed professionally, and then told me I needed to tip him...after paying for the most expensive package. Mind you, he also indicated that it was his shop and he "ran" the store. Edited review (three stars): After writing this review yesterday evening, I was promptly called by the ACTUAL owner asking about the experience. I was pleased to see that he was concerned about the review and he shared some helpful context to the situation I experienced. To be clear, this review should reflect my horrible experience with Paul. Of further note, my experience with Paul was apparently not the first of this nature. I would suggest Greg in the future as he was tasked with the insurmountable task of fixing my hair the next after Greg had given me what my friends now deem, "The Bowlcut with a triple-layered fade." Greg did a good job working with the limited hair I was left with from the Paul haircut, and Greg was very pleasant to work with.

  One of the best places in DC - definitely will be back! The day before I came in, I had gone to another barber in the area who totally messed up my hair. I called and explained what had happened, and Greg completely fixed it without having to make my hair that much shorter. I felt a 1000% better. I cannot recommend this place enough.
