  An employee made me sign for a package that was opened without telling me that it was opened. Then a 'manager' took my empty package back and stamped it with 'Received Without Contents' and an 'UNSEALED' sticker on it and told me to file it with USPS. It was an international package so there was no way for me to do that. Offered what was a poor excuse of an apology and now I'm on the newsletter for USPS emails. It was clearly stolen from within USPS Algiers. I would give this ZERO stars if google allowed for me to do so. It's worth every dollar to pay for FedEx or UPS if you live in the Algiers area. ABSOLUTE WORST experience I've ever had with the postal service. The inconvenience is of significant monetary value. Once again, I would suggest that EVERYONE look at their packages and inspect it closely before signing for it. The usual procedure is that they ask for you to sign it and then they go to the back to grab the package. This is the 'apology' that they emailed me: I regret learning of the inconvenience you have experienced. The Postal Service is aware of the frustration and disappointment caused when we do not live up to our commitment of safe and reliable mail service. An apology is no substitute for good service, but I want to offer one on behalf of the Postal Service. We appreciate your reporting this matter to us. It helps to know the kinds of difficulties our customers have so we can work toward improvements. The information you have provided will be shared with management as they continue their efforts to improve service performance in your area.   I received an email from UPS on Saturday, March 24th that my package was delivered at my front door at 3:55 pm. There was no package there. UPS delivered the package to the post office, and the post office supposedly delivered the package to my address. Even Macy’s sent me a notification that the package was delivered. I talked to Macy’s on Monday, and told them that I never received the package. They are resending the merchandise I ordered today which is Monday. A resident in the 2200 block of my street brought the package to my house today. The postman delivered the package to the wrong address. I live in the 2600 block, and the package was delivered to the 2200 block. Big mistake, iI thought the package was stolen. Now I have to contact Macy’s to stop the new shipment. My husband always felt that the postman made the mistake which turned out to be true

  I haven't used this office very often but when I do the employees seem to be working as fast and efficiently as they can. I had a problem with a package and it was resolved quickly. To be honest, I've heard patrons berating staff about matters beyond their control and the staff person always remains calm and as courteous as possible. I wouldn't want their job.

  Packages are always delivered days later than what it's supposed to be delivered because they are always short on workers or the workers are too lazy to bring the packages to the door if they don't fit in the mailbox. Sometimes they don't get delivered at all then I have to go pick them up. They sometimes tell me that the package is not there. I insist that they check again & somehow my package that wasn't there before mysteriously appears. This post office is the worst. *Update Now a pair of shoes that I ordered was never delivered. The carrier scanned it as delivered in mailbox but the men's size 10 shoes were too big to fit in the mailbox. They would've had to bring them to my door, which they didn't. It's been weeks & I am still fighting to get a refund or my package. I had to open up a theft case after getting the run around for so long. Can't wait until I move in 2 months.

  This is the third time that I haven’t received my packages and if you know the office in the complex closes at 5 why would you try to deliver packages and mail after 6 pm. I called the office in the complex and was informed that they haven’t seen a mail carrier in over a week. The second time I didn’t receive my packages I must say the light skinned young lady working on a Saturday morning was extremely pleasant and helpful with retrieving my packages. During the week they’re ghetto as hell along with the entrance being good and Filthy.
