  The gym looks like someone converted a garage into a gym. I belonged to the UFC Gym in New Hyde Park and absolutely loved it. It was an excellent space geared for MMA, weight training and workout machines. When I moved back to Queens I thought let me give the Astoria location a try and man was I disappointed. The location is geared strictly for classes. There are barely any weights or workout machines if you just want to workout and not take a class. The machines they did have look like they hadn't been maintained in years. For the price of their membership I expect more.

  i waited for 30 minutes to cancel my membership just for the guy to tell me, i can only do it m-th 9-5. in the first place i called before i came and the person i talked to did not tell me anything, "just come in." what is so difficult about cancelling a membership? i have been with other gyms before and they get to you in less than 30 mins.

  Qualified trainers and welcoming atmosphere. Love it from the first class even if I had never tried kickboxing before. Would definitely recommend. Miruna

  I love the staff here, it's been a really welcoming environment with patient trainers and a really cool crowd. Good place to start learning boxing/MMA - obviously hard in the beginning but I got to see improvement very quickly. The gym is what you make of it. The fifth star is left off just because the gym/equipment itself is a little bit janky sometimes (not unsafe) but that's kind of what makes it feel like home...lol

  Dear UFC Gym Team, I see that you take people's comments seriously here and I highly appreciate that. I visited your gym to see how the classes are set up and to find out how much does the membership costs. However, gentleman behind the front desk said that the gym's policy is not to disclose the price before you take the free trial class. Personally, I think it is not a good policy, because before making any plans to start something I would like to know if I can actually afford it or not. P.S. Gym looks great and I hope that I will start training there soon, if the price is right :)
