So I recently stayed at this hotel and I have to admit, I am a little conflicted about my feelings about it. I'll start with the positives. I really like the rooms in the renovated tower. They are spacious and comfortable and I literally have no complaints about it. I enjoyed the balcony, nice bed, decor, desk, large tv, closet and bathroom setup. But it's time for the bad. The hotel charges you $16 a day for resort fees and $20 a day for parking! That is ridiculous! I understand that many hotels in the SD area charge for parking but the resort fee?? What resort?? Does a pool count as a resort?? I have no clue why there is such a hefty fee associated with staying here. This isn't Vegas! I travel to San Diego for one weekend each month and I am bummed because I found a hotel that I really would like to stay at each month but the high parking and resort fees kills my desire to return. Fix this and you will have a regular for the next few years. If not, I'll unfortunately have to look elsewhere.

We were at Town and Country for a small fan-run conference, San Diego Comic Fest 2018. I have attended similar events and professional conferences there since the late 1990s. We've also stayed overnight in the past. We have consistently found the facilities to be adequate or better. The staff are attentive. The facility is older, so disabled access to the second floor is by very slow lift. Staff with golf carts are willing and eager to assist visitors in getting around. There is plenty of parking, but it is not free. Access to the San Diego trolley is just north of the big parking lot in back. Many of the rooms have been renovated since I've stayed. Many of the unique garden sculptures and other garden features have been removed as the resort modernizes.

Stayed in one of the mid/high rise towers this time. Loved it. Always a reasonable price for an overnight stay. Convenient. Only problem, when getting in late on a Saturday night, no parking even though we are charged for overnight parking. They have events going on and all lots and structures were full. We circled the place for 45 minutes.

We got a terrific deal for a sizable suite. The location was superb (easy to get to anywhere). The suite was really nice and very neat. Highly recommend for larger groups (our suite had two double beds and a king sofa bed). They are also pet friendly!

Though it named a resort, I think of it as a retreat. It spans several city blocks with cottages on tree lined mini streets that is a visual treat. The rooms are spacious. Even though a hundred or more rooms are on this campus, it's quiet and relaxing. The staff is pleasant. This is one of my favorite destinations.
