  IN FRESNO: Be aware, unless you have an airline boarding pass for the same date as the rental, you CANNOT use a debit card to pay. You must have a major credit card. Even if you book and pay on-line, when you get to the Thrifty counter, you still have to have a major credit card (yes- even if you paid for the rental on-line).

  real good experience. I bought the "walk-away" insurance which cost $50 extra, which I thought was a bit expensive. all in all, no problems, no worries!

  Everything went very smooth. Customer service was friendly. I had almost no wait, my car was ready for us and plenty big enough (we got a mid-size because of luggage and a car seat). And our mid-size car cost us only pennies more than a smaller car. I never felt pressured into buying extras. The only complaint was that there were pastries in our glove box (individually wrapped, like the kind you get from a gas station). We assumed they were left by previous renters. But, if that was missed upon cleaning the car, what else might have been missed? If I could take only a half start off, I would.
