The car was in great condition, no problems at all. Was billed correctly too. I was worried after reading all these reviews. But everything went great. Customer service at pick up wasn’t very good but at drop off it was awesome and made up for what was lacking at pick up and that’s why there’s still 5 stars.

I would tell people reading the negative reviews on Thrifty to take them with a grain of salt. We were seriously concerned with getting paired up with them through Hotwire after seeing the reviews from others but we were at a point where there was no turning back. We got to Thrifty at 3AM after a 6 or 7 hour delay and they had held the car for us, a squeaky new 2018 Nissan with less mileage than you see on brand new cars at dealerships, perfect condition. The girl at the front desk was a sweetheart and explained every item we had questions on. Word of caution for all you who aren't familiar with MA; there is NO CASH TOLL in MA any longer, it is all through the EZ-Pass. You can get one for FREE through the Mass transit websites and they'll ship it to you and you can pre-load it with money for tolls. If you fail to do this, Thrifty will give you the ability to use their EZ pass, though it will cost you per day. If you don't have an EZ pass and plan to drive the highways in MA, you're going to get tagged by the toll cameras via license plate and a ticket is sent out to whomever that car is rented to. Thrifty will bill you if you make that mistake, as you would think people would expect blowing through a toll without paying. So, it's a matter of whether you'd like to spend 10 bucks a day on their EZ pass, ordering one in advance for free from the state, or getting bent over by the authorities for WAY more money because you didn't go about it the right way. They gave us the option to not get it and just not drive the highways but if you've got stuff to do, worth the investment. Just make sure to gas it back up to full before you drop the car off- otherwise you'll get hit for like 9 or 10 bucks per gallon; all in the contract you sign to get the car, so read the fine print. To sum it up, Thrifty pleasantly surprised us, we didn't see any additional upcharges or get pressured into anything. I give credit where credit is due, and the price for how long we actually had the car was BEYOND reasonable, actually a great deal. Car rental places are never fun but all things considered, this was an unexpectedly good experience.

Rented in January and received a car with summer tires and no windshield wiper fluid. Counter clerk tried to sell us really hard too on upsells. But hey it was cheap.... Next time I'll spend the extra 30 at Enterprise or Alamo.

Service was quick and efficient. Got a very good price through Last Minute Travel, and was pleased to get little sales pressure and no hassle from the Thrifty staff. The individuals I dealt with ran the gamut from cheerful and helpful to sullen, but overall very happy as it was quick and easy on both pick up and drop off.
