The staff was exceptional with our stay. The shower heads are very inviting. Neither of us wanted to get outta the shower. It's like being under a waterfall. From all of our stays within San Diego, the Westin was extraordinary and the staff is equivocal.

This review is for coffee/cafe area only. Stopped by to have coffee with some colleagues while in town. Grabbed coffee and banana bread. Both were good and fairly priced - about what you would pay at Starbucks or Peet's. Seating was plentiful and the space was pretty quiet even with other tables occupied. The Westin is attached to an office building so I assume it caters mainly to business crowd.

It was a bit hard to find if you you were coming from the back side because the back half of the building is an office building with a different name. Also, the AC was loud and thus disruptive in the meeting room. And there is another Westin hotel nearby so make sure you don't go to the wrong one. The front desk seemed to be understaffed as well. Long lines \ wait times both days I went. And it was hard to navigate the meeting room floors. You would think it would be easy since it is just a circle but there were lots of corridors (think of a child's drawing of the sun. Lots of "rays"). But everything was clean and functional and the sparse staff were friendly, jocular and well-meaning \ helpful despite the confusing layout.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin. The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The mattress and pillows are plush and so so comfy. The bathrooms are stocked with thoughtful amenities, and a cozy robe. I don't want to leave!

Service was great, very helpful in resolving a billing glitch and in dealing with a changing arrival time. Really enjoyed the honeycomb design theme of the hotel, especially great views from the glass elevators. Our meal in the restaurant/bar was good, and service was friendly. Wifi worked well, room was comfortable. Convenient walk to many good restaurants (1/2 mi from cruise terminal).
