  Great food and delicious cocktails. We love going for whiskey Wednesday. We typically order a few small plates to share - the grit tots and Brussels are amazing!

  Went for a mid-day work meeting a week ago. Great service. Our server was really, really wonderful and knowledgeable. Food, of course, was excellent. I had the hangar steak. It was interesting, with a sort of southwestern flare. Also, I like that they direct you to safe and free parking. Decatur parking sucks. So it's the little things that made this visit special.

  I don’t usually post google reviews. But this was such a weird experience. 1. I played at an event in Decatur, and was pleasantly surprised when they sent us the menu of this restaurant as “catering” for dinner. When I showed up to order dinner, the staff were confused about how to handle the situation. It was crowded and there were no tables, so I placed a to go order and sat at the bar. I had an amazing cocktail. That’s why this is two stars. After 40 minutes I was still waiting and I checked in with the host. Turned out the kitchen was slammed and my order had been lost. I asked them to prepare the food anyway and set it aside, and I would come eat after the show. They apologized and agreed. I left, hungry, and played the show. After the show I was told the kitchen was unable to do what I asked. Suggestion 1 for management: if you agree to supply food for an event, please make sure you have the time/space/organizational ability to do so. 2. The next day I remembered the cocktail and thought, “I bet the food is good, let’s get brunch there.” My wife and I showed up and ordered cocktails (again, amazing). The food though... it was pretty average diner breakfast food. Except for the biscuits. Those were Pillsbury, maybe? Not flaky, not buttery, nothing you would want in a biscuit. And they came with two packets of Smuckers jelly. Grape and apple cinnamon. For $5. We thought maybe they had run out of what they normally serve and asked. No, those were normal. Suggestion 2 for management: just don’t serve biscuits. If you can’t make a decent biscuit, if you can’t take the time to make preserves, why oh why, in Georgia, would you put something like that on the menu? The cocktails are very good. This place probably makes most of its money on them. I would go back for a drink anytime. But there’s obviously something broken between the owners, the chef, and the rest of the staff.   Great food, fast service, and unique dishes at The Pinewood. The wings I got were not only smoked, but came with a white BBQ sauce on them which gave a unique and very good flavor. You have to try the grit tots and the tater tots, excellent sides. The drink I had was a ginger pineapple Sprite infused drink and came with real ginger pieces, which was an awesome drink. Definitely recommend The Pinewood.

  Went in for a celebration cocktail after getting married on a Monday afternoon at 2pm. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful, and even made a "specialty shot" on the house to help us celebrate. Had 3 or 4 of the apps, all of which were delicious. Swank, mid-century vibes with beautiful décor. Can't wait to visit for dinner soon!
