  My parents-in-law took a trip to San Diego for their 30th wedding anniversary and we wanted to set up dinner plans as a gift. Brad and Amy were great to work with. They helped us set up a brewery tour and the dinner with beer pairings. PIL had a great time, loved the food and were happy to meet the chef after their meal. They let us know that the portions were perfect, beer pairings were excellent and the service and ambiance were exceptional. The menu is preset with 3ish options per course (app, salad, entree, dessert) and you have the option of having beer pairings with each course. The beers are fairly large glasses, every picture they sent showed a mounting number of half empty glasses.

  Celebrated my 30th in this quiet, private and intimate back room in the brewery. You're literally sitting in the brew room. Portions and pours were all perfect size for the money and to really experience everything how it's supposed to be without getting super full before you're done. They have special beers only available to the backroom and everyone was very knowledgeable of the food and beer. Definetly do the courses and pairings for the best time. Don't forget to get a picture in front of the mural on the wall 😉

  Absolutely amazing food. Price was extremely reasonable. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable of both the food and drink, and attentive throughout the meal. One of the best brewery experiences I've had, and easily one where I'd happily return for just the food and no beer.

  The food here is phenomenal! Just to clarify the restaurant is in the ballast point brewery. The way it works is you do this type of tasting menu with a choice of a appetiser, salad, entree, and a desert. All courses were good but smaller then you might expect. The location of the Kettle Room is in the brewery which is cool. One thing to note is that for a little more money you can have your tasting menu come with special beers about that course. A couple side notes you have a private bathroom and the door to get in takes some force to move. Also it is really hard to find parking in the area. In short, prepare for a really good meal.

  From the ambiance (four metal covered tables lit by lanterns) to the service and delicious menu, I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. While the burger was hands down one of the best I've ever had, the complimentary appetizer was the most memorable and innovative dish. Check it out! PS they also have some beers unique to this restaurant for die hard ballast point fans like me, it's a must.
