I have given the Howe 4 chances to redeem itself. We loved the old rail station, and would go 2-3 times a month. It's a disappointment that this is where the place has ended up. Service is slow, which after adding a host I figured would be the opposite, especially since it's very rarely busy, an indication that they tried going too upscale. Even sitting at the bar it takes too darn long. They have been out of the brisket every time we've tried to eat there, except when I called for a takeout order and sat on hold for 20 minutes... To order some food... From a restaurant. Not sure if it was available then, as my phone died and I gave up and went somewhere else. Their chicken is delicious, but overpriced. Drinks and beer is also rather Spendy. Pretentious is the first word I'd use to describe the Howe. Don't forget your man bun and thick rimmed glasses. Total bummer to the neighborhood. Update as of May 6 '18. My wife and I have returned a couple times now in the last 2 months. Still highly disappointed. The server turnover is unbelievable, constantly cycling through. It's always very busy now, food is decent but service is lacking in virtually every way. We sat down at 2pm on Sunday for lunch, were given the breakfast menus. We asked if there was more 'lunch' food to eat. She told us they were the wrong menus and that they were switching to lunch. Great, got those menus, tried to order and were told they were switching over to lunch, so we had to wait 10 minutes to place order. 20 goes by, finally she takes our order. Says it's another 5 before she can put the order in. It's now been 40 minutes not so much as an appetizer. I'm so over the garbage service and terrible management that we will never return. Unbelievably disappointed. Bring back the Rail... cause you guys suck ass.

The dog-friendly patio was something I heard about so I decided to finally check this place out. Met a friend for dinner and brought my dog. They provided a separate menu of entrees for dogs ranging from $5-$8 which I thought was neat. I ordered the steak Cobb salad and I loved it. My friend ordered a medium rare burger and it was cooked pretty much well done, but she was hungry and the server was really busy so we didn’t bother mentioning it. I thought the menu had several interesting choices and I would definitely try this place again in the hopes that I would have a server who isn’t being overworked and can be a little more attentive.

Love this place after all the work they have put into it. Bit of a rough start but it's running smooth now. I'm a big fan of the broccoli cheese tots and the cheese curds. Very inclusive list of beers and I'm also a rewards member which is cool.

Really good drink selection and delightful brunch food. Had the corned beef hash and the biscuits and gravy between myself and the better half. Both were really good. Prices were reasonable. Was very surprised and pleased to find two vintages of Surly Darkness available. Wicked good!

Service from start to finish was excellent (from our greeting at the door to saying goodbye). Servers were working as a team and had each other's back - really impressive. Food was served quickly, piping hot, and very tasty (and this was on a busy Sunday afternoon). While the corned beef hash was great, the portion was light on the corned beef. The breakfast burrito was awesome with bacon, and the sweet potatoes had a nice kick. Good cocktail and beer list too. Definitely coming back!
