I was put up at the Gryphon House when I interviewed for my job here in Boston, and I have to say that I was beyond impressed. The room I had was the Tuscany room, and it was easily the most amazing hotel experience I've ever had. Of course, this is coming from the guy who has, previously, slept on the floor of a room full of other people to save money... maybe I'm easily wowed. The bathroom was amazing... jet tub separate from the huge, glass shower. Fireplace in the room that you control. The best bed I've had at a hotel. Breakfast was continental... bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea. Oh, free coffee and tea anytime in the lobby. I loved the feel of staying in a very old house, and not in a Holiday Inn (which we have stayed in several times here in Boston). I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a completely relaxing stay away from home. I have no clue as to the price, as I did not pay for the stay, but can easily vouch for the amenities and service.

We stayed at the Gryphon house numerous times. We recently stayed there for New Yearโ€™s eve in the below zero conditions, but it was so cozy and warm with the fireplace . Itโ€™s very clean, beautiful Decor and the staff is very personable. The owner, Theresa is a great host! Itโ€™s a perfect location near Fenway Park, Charles River and itโ€™s an easy walk into the City. Itโ€™s a very safe neighborhood. I would highly recommend staying here.

The staff was incredibly nice, accommodating and easy to talk to, the room was beautiful and spacious, and my overall stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend staying if you're in the area.

The Gryphon House was beautiful. Theresa was super nice and helpful as was the other girl who was there in the evening. It was conveniently located within walking distance of some nice restaurants for dinner, stores for shopping, and parks for walking. We were there for one night but managed to do everything because of the location. We will come back!
