  The Edison bar is one of my favourite bars in the world even if it is just because of the amazing job that they’ve done at converting an old power station in a pumping venue! The jazz band pounds away, friendly service and plenty of places to sit. Decent food too! Love it!

  Great place to bring guests. They will remember this place. The downside is the price, which is $50 minimum per person on the weekend (definitely not $10 a person). Something to keep in mind. The Edison is expensive. I think some of these reviews are a bit misleading. If they ever revive their Depression Soup Kitchen, I will change this to 5 stars. That was always a signature event for a fabulous price. Amazing.

  Cute that people actually dress up to match the 20's theme of this place. Fast attentive service at the bar. They play different kinds of good music though decent mixed age crowd lots of space and sexy live performance before midnight

  The venue is wonderful but the service and drinks are lacking. The Edison is a unique 20's themed bar downtown with fun performances on the weekends (burlesque hanging from the ceiling). There are two bars in the venue which makes it easier to get drinks. Mind you the drinks are on the pricier side so either drink elsewhere first or be prepared to spend some dough. Mostly standing room here as the seating areas are on a reservation basis. I have been here a couple of times and the first experience was quite unpleasant due to the snobbish bouncer and hostess. Came around 10pm on a Saturday and saw there was a 30 minute line. Wouldn't have waited if I weren't there for a friend's birthday. It was raining and the line moved unusually slow for maybe 15 people ahead of us. When we got in, the venue was maybe half filled so not sure why they made everyone wait in the rain (my guess is to make it look like they were busy from the outside). Venue - 5 stars Service - 2 Stars

  Amazing spot to have a different and fun night out. The bar is located underground in an old power station. The theme is 1920s and dressing up in theme is definitely welcomed and encouraged. The drinks are very good, as is the selection of liquor. Great place for a special occasion. I haven't ordered food here but I would suggest eating beforehand and coming for drinks. They also have a burlesque show!
