  My husband and I have the great pleasure of dining for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning this weekend while visiting Pittsburgh. We were sat quickly. I am allergic to latex and when asking our server if anything was prepared using latex gloves, I was greeted by the manager and chef, whom explained what options they could guarantee would be made fresh and without being touched by gloves. I cannot express my appreciation for the attention to my needs by these fine people. Our meals were phenomenal and I was checked on repeatedly. Living with a severe allergy in public situations can be stressful but they put my fears to rest and we enjoyed every minute of our experience. Thank You again!!

  Amazing cocktails. Burger was alright. Great atmosphere. Service was on point. Went with three others and they seemed to have enjoyed themselves as well. Will return soon!

  The food here is delicious. I highly recommend the BLT or the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The decor and lighting is also beautiful and adds to the overall experience. Service is always fast too as I usually go on my lunch hour.

  This is a great place for a quick business lunch. The menu is high quality, with elegant takes on classic lunchtime fare. They have soups, sandwiches, salads, and quiche. Service is quick and professional. Prices are reasonable. I can't think of anything bad to say about The Commoner.

  Highly recommend. Excellent space, service and food. This place is obviously run by a team that knows how to produce/deliver high-end service and food. I walked in the back door and had to walk through the restaurant to the front to be seated. The interior decorating is beautiful with exposed brick, iron beams and green leather seats. The staff was attentive to ensure that my stay was completely enjoyable. The food was perfectly done and quick. I ordered the market special. It was not overly expensive.
