My family and I have been with this bank for many years now. Since it first started. I have never had any issues with them. Not regarding my money and not with customer service. The only time there was an issue was when my money was spent (not by me). This can happen with any bank. God is merciful because I was able to cancel all transactions made. The bank wasn't helpful in all honesty. I was told to report it to the police and file a report with TCF Bank. But I know friends that have had this issue with other "better" banks. Either way my dependence is on God. No bank can protect and provide like God does.

I have never been treated so disrespectful in my entire life. Had 3000 deposited into my account, checked it on my phone, everything fine. Next moring the money is gone with no trace of existence. Because I saw the deposit, we disgarded the receipt . Took me 4 hours in the trash to find it to prove the transaction was real. This was a cash deposit btw. A manager named ashley was obviously in on it with a teller name Jeffrey. They refused my phones called, gave me no information, never admitted to the money being there. I had to contact several branches and managers and call ashley store over 20 times before she finally gave up and put the money back in my account. Still with no explanation as to why a cash deposit came up missing for two days. I truly believe I was set up. Remember, I saw the money then is was gone. They knew I'd throw away the receipt once I saw the money, hoping I'd lose it and can't prove I ever made the transaction. These people are criminal. The work together to take people's money and cover their tracks. It's not worth it people. They will steal your money and not help. Stay away from ashley and Jeff at tcf inside this jewel. Theyre working together. And if a tcf rep wants to investigate, please contact me.

I am only giving 5 stars to this bank because of the nice lady who helped me today. I went in with the intentions of closing my account but thanks to her I did not. I will not get into the details of my issue but this lady deserve to be recognized. African american lady short black hair :" sorry I did not ask her name" however she had on a blue blouse, petite lady. She is very helpful, knowledgeable, went above and beyond to solve my issue. I want her to know that I felt that she sincerely cared and that because of her help I remain a costumer otherwise I would have immediately y closed all my accounts. Again sorry I did not get the name worked 7/7/2016 second window on the left by the manager's office. Also there is another young gentlemen African American also " I believe an assistant manager" who was not there today but whenever I deal with him I get the best service. For a not so great bank you sure have some good people working for you well at least at this branch! Regards,

Worst bank I have ever seen. I opened a student account which I was told is free of charge. And then after a year they started to charge me monthly fee ($10/mon) silently. No notice, no email, no statements. I should call it steal. TCF does steal your money. Because I didn't use it much and didn't check my on-line bank frequently. I didn't notice that they had stolen $90 until yesterday I was warned by my roommate who was also charged $50 for no reason. Then I went to the branch. The cashier refused to refund, and just kept blaming me not checking my on-line account. Bullshit. it is the bank's responsibility to properly notify your customs whenever there's a charge. You TCF has my email, my address, and my cell phone number. But you didn't even bother to let me know by any means. WARNIG: If you are student and have a student account, they will start charging you WITHOUT NOTICE if your account is inactive for a certain amount of time (I don't know how long, they never mentioned to me). So if you don't use it, go close it as soon, before they start stealing your money.
