The place looks like a dump, but itโ€™s a dump with great food and a lot of history. If you can look past that, the service is friendly & helpful. The food is reasonably priced, very flavorful, and large portions. As you can see from the pictures, order a bowl of seaweed soup and youโ€™ve got enough for 3-4 people. Definitely worth the trip. Iโ€™ll be back. I went back April 9, 2018. I ordered sash one crispy duck. It comes with a complementary tea & soup. Very flavorful, I took half home for another meal. Finding nearby parking can be an issue.

I really hate to write bad reviews but I am being honest about these places I experience. The ambiance was fine, a little old but it is the first Chinese restaurant in Seattle or so that's what the sign stated, I felt reassured by this, I don't know why, but I did. We ordered, fried wonton, can't go wrong with those they were good although I would've have loved the crab ones but still good, they gave us cabbage soup which was pretty darn good as well, a lot of flavor. My husband ordered diet Coke, they only have canned, they give you tea, that tasted like hot water. We ordered our meal, orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, I wanted a side of crispy noodles to put on my rice, and green beans in garlic sauce. I will be putting in pictures of before and after, mind you I did force my self to eat cause I won't waste! But the rice had bean sprouts that were tossed in last minute in to the rice and the tiniest little bagged frozen shrimp I'd ever seen, I mean we're right by the ocean people! There were no veggies nothing! The orange chicken wasn't on the menu but they said they can make it no problem! The chicken was in strips and tasted like lemon chicken :( and too over breaded with just so little chicken and it was pretty salty. The string beans were cooked really well and crispy! But again very salty! The staff were very friendly and the place was clean enough. But I would never choose to come here again very disappointed... I had a hotel pizza later.

Tai Tung is hands-down Seattle's best Chinese food restaurant. Harry and his staff have been serving quality family eats since the 60's, and, Bruce Lee ate here! Go now and get the almond breaded chicken or try the shrimp in garlic sauce! Why are you still reading this? No reservation needed!
