Southwest Furniture did a great job on our custom bar furniture. They made the design process very easy and were amazingly flexible in allowing us to create the exact item we wanted. The overall quality of the build is excellent and fits perfectly in our home.

Great/very knowledgeable people and incredible craftsmanship! Love them and they rebuilt a classic Spanish lamp for me.

I waited 2 months to write this review to ensure I felt the same way. I do. My nearly $3,000 table is absolutely worthless when compared to what I ordered and was promised. Ana promised the best in workmanship. Here is my experience: We ordered a custom table very similar to one on the floor in her shop. I wanted it to be a bit thicker at 2 inches and we requested a specific width, length and height. Other than that we request a specific finish that she helped us pick. We were also promised that our table would be very durable and have an excellent protective clear coat. We received a couple of update in the first 4-5 weeks. Mostly telling us that the table was looking fantastic. She promised to deliver is 6 weeks and in that week we had to contact her several times to figure out when delivery would happen. She scheduled the delivery and this is where everything went wrong. Two guys showed up in a rusty oil leaking truck. They were not strong enough to together transport the table as they hit the side of my house several times and dinged up the table noticeably. The table didn't look right when put in place, but we allowed the delivery men to leave. When we measured the height of the table was 6 inches to tall. The width and the length were also off by inches. We were blown away by this as this seemed to be a very simple aspect of the table to get right. The fact that the proportions were incorrect and the table was now damaged we were not happy. We placed several calls to Ana that night. None were returned that night. We finally had to drive to her store to talk with her directly. We explained how we were rightly dissatisfied. She promised to make it right and pointed out that the agreement allowed her 8-10 weeks to produce a result we were happy with. I was more interested in a refund at this point, but allowed her to correct the issue. She immediately picked up our table from our house and allowed us a "loaner" table until the new one was delivered. It took about 1 week to receive the new table. The dimensions were correct this time, but the craftsmanship was just not there. You can see from the pictures below that the protective coat is gummy throughout the table. The bottom of the table in the third picture shows they did not even bother to add sealer to the bottom of the table. Worse the table top is so heavy that it is bowing. The table is indeed a topic of discussion when guests come over, but here is what we hear: 1. Your table is bowing. 2. You table needs to be re-sanded to get rid of the poorly applied coating. There are no compliments. Please, do yourself a favor and run from this place. I am not the first to post a similar experience. You are better off purchasing a table at Pottery Barn.

Ana and all of her employees have been nothing but professional in all of our encounters. The furniture that she designed for us is beautiful and functional, and we have received many compliments on it. Some modifications were necessary due to unforeseen changes in our apartment layout, and Ana did these at no charge after the dining room table was done, even giving us a loaner table and chairs at no charge (delivered). She also made bedroom furniture and some other pieces for us, it is all spectacular. Monica helped us find a lovely rug, which really pulls everything together. I would recommend them to anyone.

I would give them less than 1 star if it was possible! Don't enlist this company to custom design any furniture for you. They have no integrity in their business practices and their approach to designing functional and safe furniture is remedial at best. I enlisted this company to build stools and a frame for an eight foot Quartz top, weighing over 400 pounds. I gave them a $2,500 deposit. The designer(s) that worked with me demonstrated no engineering skills and designed a frame that had no chance of safely and effectively supporting the top. I had an engineer review the design and scientifically conclude that inadequate material was/would be used and the frame design would not support the weight. At this point I lost complete confidence in this company and cancelled the order. I offered to pay the FULL price of the frame even though I had no intentions of taking delivery of the frame. I only asked that they return the remaining balance of my deposit because I was not going to have them build the stools. They refused to return any money, stating they had spent numerous hours of design time although I only saw some basic illustrative drawings. I had not approved any chair designs. Again, I was forfeiting part of the chair deposit because I was willing to pay the full cost of the table frame that I signed off on before I had an engineer review it. (I'm not sure if they ever even built the table frame.) In summary: - I honored my obligation to pay the full price of the table frame because I signed off on the design. Even though the design was structurally flawed. -I fully expected a refund of the remaining monies advanced given I had not approved a stool design, hence the construction had not commenced. -I politely wrote the owners and they never phoned me, rather they wrote back that they would not refund any money. -This company unethically kept all of $2,500 deposit. I hope this review is helpful to anyone considering doing business with this company. In my opinion the owners are unethical and indifferent to the quality of their work. They are fortunate that I had an engineer review the design. Their design would have certainly failed, caused property damage and possibly caused injuries.
