First time visiting. Tried the Queen's Guard. I am very basic when it comes to coffee. Good bean, hot and black. No frills! The Queen's Guard was pleastly good. The drink comes over ice with an option to spike it, I chose not to. But imagine that would be delicious. Service was good and the atmosphere is on par with a good coffee bar. I will definitely stop by the next time I am downtown Raleigh.

Coffee was great. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. Parking wasn’t bad. Breakfast burrito left something to be desired… It was a hard-boiled egg chopped up with turkey sausage. I guess I was expecting a scrambled egg. Still, 5 stars overall.

I ordered a black tea bubble tea and it was pretty good! It’s very sweet, so if you don’t have a sweet tooth I’d order something else. Another cool thing about this shop is that they serve both coffee and alcohol, and also food! I love the environment of this coffee shop. It’s very industrial with pops of bright orange everywhere. (The only downside is the bathroom which has frosted glass windows on the doors - kinda awkward)

Place was great when it opened, but it just hasn't maintained that level. Service is a toss up between good and bad. If the wrong people are working just go someplace else. Ambiance is a bit too dark and too loud for the day time; louder than many bars serving food. After about 5pm is when they try to become a bar, the last thing downtown needs more of. Its within a 30 second walk from me, but I frequently find myself walking in, then out to go elsewhere. The coffee is good and fairly consistent. They seem to run out of tea frequently. Feels like the place wants to be everything, instead of good at 1-2 things.
