Nice building, has free tours that talk about the history of city hall as well as the city of San Francisco. Seems like there are always weddings happening there.

Ed Lee had a heart attack in Safeway? good riddance! if I was Mayor.. I would not allow tech companies into SF. I would not allow banks to foreclose on family homes, I would not have allowed stores and businesses to close due to high rents, I would not allow SF to be a sanctuary city, I would focus more on the people of SF, Families, jobs, housing, affordability .. Ed lee destroyed my Home Town and I am happy he is not in office anymore!

It is a beautiful and classical building. Staffs are very friendly. There is a Cafe down stairs serving lunch. You can also get lunch from the food trucks outside. One of the must-visit places in SF.

I've been here twice. Once was for a public here on funding for school programs. That was interesting and it moved very slowly. We got the impression that there was already a handshake between the YMCA and the city and smaller programs would get little it no assistances. This was 9 years ago. I just went there in October 2017 for their haunted tour hosted by SF public library. The tour want impressive as we didn't actually go upstairs to the haunted floors. After the tour we got wander around a little. It's a very beautiful building.
