  I used to be a member here. It's a nice gym and it's was the only option in my neighborhood. It's not a chain and price wise a little high. My only issue was in the summer it was too hot. This is because it has a very hight ceiling, maybe 50 feet? If not more. and impossible to cool the place down. The good news is that they will be moving to a new building across the street which should solve that. Never had issues with the staff. Always clean and the machines worked. I also took one star off because I had a personal trainer Tony. He was great at first but then started slacking off. I'm not paying a trainer to be on top of them.

  Large gym with daycare. Management however does not cater to its members, not very helpful, often rude. They seem to care more about getting new members than keeping the ones they have.

  Hey guys! I’ve been going to this gym for the last 8 months and I feel like I have enough to make an objective rating. I based my rating on: 1. Customer service/staff 2. Cleaning 3. Assortment 4. Pricing 5. Overall environment 1. The staff is very friendly. The representatives are very knowledgeable and from day 1, all my questions have been answered. One thing I appreciate I the fact that you can actually “freeze” your account for a month a year in case you go on vacation or something, so you won’t get charged. From the reception, to the cleaning crew and even the trainers you have. I thing to do with, everyone in the staff is friendly. This deserves a star. 2. Cleaning is spot on every single time I’ve been there. 5am, noon, weekends, nights, doesn’t matter when, I always find a clear place. Some areas smell funny, but nothing too alarming. Another star here. 3. The assortment in machines/weights and classes were the deal closers to me. I’ve been there when it is crowded and when it is not, they always try to keep it organized (even though most of the people don’t!) and classes are always punctual. Another star here. 4. Okay, pricing is fine if you go for the year contract. I live very close and I have no plans to move but if that moment comes, I am not sure how I will handle it. I’ve been reading your comments here and the possible cancellation may be an inconvenience. I didn’t give a star here because I have not been in a position where I need to change for a monthly/trimester kind of plan or had to cancel, so I can’t give an honest, objective rate. 5. Overall environment is great. There’s no a lot of body shaming going on, some persons are educated and respect the basic rules of putting weights back, don’t drop the weights or grunt so loud the people from the law form next door would file a sue for environmental contamination. It’s the neighborhood’s gym so you’ll see familiar faces always. I hope this works making everyone’s mind if you have doubts. Would I continue going here? Absolutely yes. At least until (and if) I move somewhere far enough I can’t walk there.

  Never had a good experience at the Rock. Very basic facilities. Paid for a persoal training package and the personal trainer told me it was fine to smoke cigarettes and drink as long as you work out to balance, he was also constantly on his phone or talking to other people at the gym during our sessions. After my 1 year membership ended they continued to charge me for each month, even after my credit card was canceled.
