  This is a good budget hotel. The room was comfortable enough. They offer soft and firm pillows, but neither were amazing. The lighting was dim throughout the room and the bathroom felt like a dark box. I wouldn't call it luxury, but it was clean and had everything we needed. They have free coffee and tea in the lobby. It is across the freeway from the Alamo and River Walk, so it's an easy walk.

  I got here early and was able to get in received good welcome place was fiesta decorated very colorfully everyone happy room nice and clean break room had free coffee and they have vending machines that also have food. I know 5 stars but that's how I felt, special. Would definitely come back they are always cleaning..loved it here

  It's close to downtown and the showers are hot. That's about all the good I can say. They say in their advertising they have free breakfast, but they don't. The eggs and bedspread are dirty. The maid did not vacuum or pick up the dirty coffee cups in our room. And they have the nerve to leave and envelope asking for a tip.

  Room was decent, NO amenities, but the absolute WORST PART IS THE STAFF! I work in hospitality/fine dining and we were treated like street people! During Spring Break/March Madness. Paid for 2 days and on day 2, the staff literally tried to throw us out saying they could not locate the PREPAID reservation! I was more than upset to say the least. I had a copy of both the itinerary and receipt. Somehow that was still not enough. Ultimately, I'm assuming they did locate it, because the harassment ceased. No one ever did apologize or say ANYTHING FURTHER. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE FOLKS..AWFUL

  You know, it's the little things like pretty good coffee available at all times. I liked the clean layout with firm and soft pillows based on preference. The parking was only $10 a day, which for downtown San Antonio is very nice! But it's also the little things like a brisk cold shower to start my day. Not being able to fall asleep because the walls are paper-thin and every argument/thump/average conversation in relative proximity might has well happen in my room. Placing the entertainment center that is built into the wall over the only plug-in on said wall so that you have to pull the drawers out to access said plug-in. This is an issue because some people like to bring gaming systems to play while on business or vacation. While far from the worst hotel experience, Red Roof is far from the best. It's pretty cheap in price, so I guess I got what I paid for.
