Loved the BBQ. I lived in Texas was have tasted the beat BBQ there so wasn't expecting much from this place but it was just amazing. Loved the Brisket, ribs and pork belly. Thumbs up

Excellent food best BBQ I have had in years. There service is great and I didn't have to wait long for my food. The menu is a but tiny with options and not easy to read however I would go back if I'm ever in Pittsburgh again.

Wonderful food. Lovely, yet hip and edgy atmosphere. Grown-up drink menu (not meant in a condescending way... just sophisticated in a way I didn’t “get” in my younger years... I beg you to order the Bordeaux!). Most importantly: Care for customers... any place making sure EVERYONE is feeling happy and SAFE— key. Like home. Campbell’s, eat your heart out. Pork & Beans is true quality. We’ll be back. See you there, Pittsburgh! 💋

My husband and I went here before a show and overall, it was good! We made a reservation about an hour before just in case—but honestly it wasn’t busy at all for a Saturday at 6:00pm. When we were seated, we were seated right next to another couple at the same table. We looked around and there were a lot of open private tables so I asked the waitress if we could move and she said those tables were being saved for reservations. I understood so we stayed. We both ordered the blue plate special which was 2 meats and 2 sides. I lived in the south for several years so I’m telling you the food is good—but not $23 a person good. It was date night so it was whatever but it wasn’t quite worth the money. The thing that was the most annoying is when were were paying the bill and heading out, the tables that were empty when we first got there were STILL empty. I know it’s hard to predict if people will or won’t come for their reservation, but it was a little frustrating. Would I go back? Maybe if I was with friends or a group. Not for a date night though.

This probably won't be the best meal you've ever had, but that's not the point. Pork & Beans serves up a modern take on smoked BBQ in a setting that blends rustic touches with modern comfort. Get a beer or a beertail if you come. Between the taps, the bombers, and the bottles and cans, there's certain to be something for every palette. As far as the meats, they are simply, but well prepared. The house sauces, available at the table, allow you to mix and match flavor profiles to your heart's content. The portions are also generous, so come hungry. The sides are also on point, especially the Mac and cheese. If you want to sample as much as you can cost effective, go for the blue plate special, 2 meats and 2 sides, and a lot of tasty. I strongly recommend reservations, as the Saturday dinner crowd really starts building toward 7. Located conveniently near the theaters, and some other bars, this can be a dressed up or dressed down spot as part of a night on the town.
