Super friendly staff with a nice collection of popular and independent local comics. You'll always find something new and cool to read. Lots of other things to geek about too, from MTG to D&D.

Best comic and game shop in the city. Very welcoming very queer friendly. Excellent collection of comic standards like Marcel and DC as well as Image and Dark Horse. Also plenty of independent comics and even a local comic book section! The board games are well priced and there is space to play. There's something interesting happening every day in the store from magic tournaments to TTRPGs. Excellent location right near the light rail. Lots of restaurants nearby and basically just across the street from Cal Anderson park.

I love Phoenix! They've got a pretty great variety of things for a pretty small store - comics from both major and minor publishers, local zines, neat board games, a decent assortment of different tabletop game rule books and paintable figures, and MTG supplies. plus they're friendly folks and very Queer Friendly! love these folks.

Phoenix is an awesome store that has an inclusive and friendly atmosphere! I come to Phoenix to play Magic the Gathering. As a woman, I feel safe and respected in the store. Nick (the store owner) is a feminist and a great presence at Phoenix. He makes the store a great space for women and LGBTQIA+ folks!

I love this place! Everyone is so friendly and will offer great suggestions if you need help looking for a grpahic novel. I had asked for post-apocalyptic suggestions and got quite a few good ones like East of West, etc. My go-to place now for graphic novels. And it's a nice local business!
