Great place to have a snack before going to the museum of craft and design. Good prices and hipster/maker vibe!

Dropped by for some superlative decaf and delicious avocado toast. Service was superb - the brothers and sisters know their beans - and the vibe was perfect for 7:45 in the morning. Could easily see myself spending the whole day there, drinking coffee and chillin'.

The coolest location of Philz in San Francisco, if you ask me! Mostly because upstairs is their headquarters and it's cool to see people working while you're working. The big windows and amble seating make it the perfect place to work

I ordered a single-origin coffee. It was perfectly brewed and the barista was very friendly and knowledgeable. The bean was incredible - very flavorful and aromatic. I'd highly recommend making the stop if you're a coffee aficionado. The space looked very hip and had many comfy areas to set up and work, but it was VERY loud. I imagine this would be a distracting place to work even with high quality noise-cancelling headphones. Edit: Several weeks later and I still recall my eyes popping as I took my first sip of the coffee here. It was vibrant!

Nice clean, open space. Fairly quick service, good food selection. Outdoor seating is available. It's a very different vibe than the original, but I like it. It's not overly pretentious or loft-like (but more so than the original). Parking isn't too bad. The ordering system may be a little confusing your first time there. You Q up, order your coffee or tea and while they are preparing that, you Q up again in the cashier line, order any food or desserts and pay. Then you wait for the barista to call out your order and the food prep person to call out when your food is ready.
