  We saw this place on Diners Drive-ins and Dives so we had to try it while in New Orleans. The roast beef po' boy is great and also the onion rings. The person who took our order was very friendly and helpful. Worth the visit.

  I have been coming to New Orleans for over 40 yrs.---i have eaten at practically all the established Po-Boy Shoppes--This place is not known for its ambience and trust me...its has none! However--we had the Shrimp and the Roast Beef Po-Boys and they both were the best ive had in New Orleans dating back to 2005 when i lived here before Hurricane Katrina. The portion was generous...The quality was outstanding and the service was great---The 3 in the kitchen today were super nice and friendly and all appeared to be enjoying their jobs...Go figure that one! You may have to look over the building and its meager furnishings and just settle for enjoying one of the best Po-Boys in town...and at this moment--for me...My new personal Favorite! Great job guys--we shall visit frequently as should you all

  Here it is Easter Sunday, and I'm two daiquiris in. Wandering down Magazine and in desperate need of something greasy, but it's nothing but brunch for days. And then, down an inconspicuous street, I see the flags and my curiosity gets the best of me (did I mention the two daiquiris?) I found Parasol's and it's basically heaven in a tiny shack. The guy at the windows taking orders was super nice, the food came out hot, fresh, and quickly! Speaking of food, please come hungry. These portions are CRAZY and for $15 I got enough food for a small army, or at least a very tipsy tourist. The French bread the po' boy came on is perfect. Crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. The shrimp was crispy and overflowing. Then let's talk about these fries, y'all. I got cheese fries and was easily upsold on upgrading to add gravy and have no regrets. The gravy is thick and of roast beef! It was seriously enough food on its own, but I had no idea! If you're in New Orleans and are like me - prefer a slower paced environment and local haunts, please come here. If you like fancy restaurants, still come here and just pretend it looks fancy. You will not be disappointed.

  Love this place. It is a dive, but if you can get past the looks of the place the food is really good. Firecracker shrimp poboy is awesome and get the debris fries for an added treat. Staff has always been friendly as well.
