They are great people. Always willing to help. Rooms are nice. Some are pretty small but can't complain for the price and security. I go here offered and would recommend it for my mother if she were visiting. Great location! Right next to the Symphony Hall and Jazz Hall. 2 blocks from City Hall. If you can think of a better spot to wind and relax I don't know where. And less pricy than Union Square or North Beach

Bad very bad attitude . Your treated and prejudged badly. Very noisy. Not allowed any guests treated as a 10 year old. Front desk is on a power trip and call the police threats for anything . Customer service non existent. Very uncomfortable Hameed with attitude Owners with attitude. Will kicknykubout but not willing to refund. Not allowed to have friends dvisit you daily apparently not no email to have friends . It's normal to be lonely. Very depressed place to be . No agreements or signs telling you not allowed guests after 9pm ? Wgatbthe he'll is that? I pay out of my pocket to be told I can not have visits after 9pm ? Im 40 year old business man that needs permission to have my gf stop by after 9pm . What is wrong with this picture . Then im told by Hameed " she's not a guest she's a prostitute "?? Apparently if your up pastb9p. Then your a prostitute. If I can give negative stars I would. ABOID THIS DAMNED PLACE. THE WORST WEEK OF MY LIFE"

They are always good to us and keep the place super clean. If you've stayed in places with shared bathrooms in the tenderloin you quickly learn to appreciate cleanliness and it's not necessarily a guarantee at some of those places but the oak, you can always count on it being clean. Unfortunately you do have to move out every 3 weeks which is really hard for young adults working really hard to live in the city and can only afford a place like this temporarily. It makes it super stressful and hard to get ahead. But when that's the only issue and everything else is pretty good, and the staff is super helpful and accommodating, you choose your battles and stay grateful for a roof over your head at a somewhat reasonable price.

Small, clean, not-unattractive rooms with everything you need to have a budget stay, like fridge, sink, and coffeemaker. I love that this was a boarding house built to house people after the earthquake in 1906. It has the shotgun charm of a 1930s flophouse, but with cheery colors and wild tile choices. A really good bargain. I stay here whenever I come to SF.

We didnt dislike it. It just had no bells or whistles. It was a decent, clean room with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink. Right down the hall are the 2 nice clean convenient restrooms. Nice people too. No homeless loitering out front.
