Great Dollar Bin and amazing events on the weekend, with free beer.

I came in with many out of print records and went out to smoke a cigarette while the bald guy working there priced them. he didn't know who most of the musicians were and did not price them separately. I needed the money buttt I should have gone elsewhere as a week later I am still feeling like I got ripped off; $50 for two Nilsson, two Elliott Smith, one Smiths, Morissey, the Shins, plus a whole lot more is not enough. his nonchalant attitude was also pretty demoralizing. hopefully Mushroom treats people better.

This place is amazing. I already knew of there releases via Instagram, and had plans to check out the shop. When I got to Magazine st I was told by another music lover to โ€œcheck out the place down the street it has a purple sign, lots of good deals in thereโ€ I thought I gotta check out this place too after I go to Nola Mix .. turns out itโ€™s the same place .. ha ha . So many local gems as well as a fair amount of several genres . Definitely a must for the digger

Good variety and great prices. Probably the biggest hip hop selection of all the stores in the city. Also a great spot to pick up slip mats & dj equipment. Friendly staff, and they gave out free beer & coffee at their store anniversary! Would give them 5 stars but some other stores locally have more rare & hard to find original pressings available. Other than that, an awesome store for used vinyl & a hidden Uptown gem!

This is my favorite record shop in all of New Orleans by far! The owner is approachable and passionate about keeping vinyl culture alive! There is a great selection and everything is in beautiful condition. He is a huge supporter of local music as well. He'll often have local musicians offering a live soundtrack and sells local bands' albums as well. I would highly recommend you stop in!
