Food was great. Staff was very friendly. Thought they said happy hour prices (half off rolls)... I was still charged full price... On my return visit for my birthday, I was very dissatisfied with our service. Order took over 45 mins. Waitress was very unattentive. Sadly I will no longer be returning to this restaurant.

Great service amazing food. They provide lot of authentic japanese foods that you can't find anywhere else other than Miso Japanese Restaurant. It was my first time going there with my family, we all love this place. Everyone was very friendly and charming, they take care of us very well even when my mum keep on asking them questions on the menu. I've tried different sushi place in Sacramento, but yet this place is the best I've ever tried. Definitely gonna come back! Love this place.

This is kind of an odd place. First about the food. It is pricier than most Japanese places, but you're paying for some interesting dishes that show a lot of creativity and great presentation. That's an odd contrast to the atmosphere and service, which is relatively gritty. Of the Japanese places I know in Sacramento, this is the one where you'll find the most rock and roll types, although it is a mix and the lunch crowd includes a lot of state worker types as well. Often the servers seem really inexperienced with that type of job and seem odd choices, like maybe the restaurant has a reputation for hiring ex-cons. The owner is always present and working alongside his employees, and making sure his customers are happy, which makes you want to like the place. Less than five stars just because I find the atmosphere and staffing weird, and because if I'm going to pay for expensive creativity in my food I want the atmosphere to match.
