  I was in Gilbert for business and was craving good Thai food for lunch. After going online and reading previous glowing reviews about Mint Thai, I thought this was a must eat place. After all their storefront displays a painted “#1 Thai Restaurant in Arizona” sign. I have been fortunate to get to know quality Thai food by living with both Southern and Northern Thai roommates so my expectations may be a bit high. But what I have learned is that quality comes with careful prep and experience in the cooking. Gauging by the disparity in the reviews versus reality, I have to say that I felt suckered, like tourist trap or more like Venus flytrap style. The poor food was only outmatched by a severely rude server who literally plopped the food on my table and walked away. I thought that maybe I was privy to this type of service but watched as she did the same to the only other table in the restaurant. I tried to make small talk thinking the server was having a bad day, and was met with a frown and a quick retreat backwards from the server. I ordered Laab and Panang Beef curry. Both tasted like there was minimal prep, as if a knorr premixed spice mix package was used to make the curry, the pasty curry was chalky and unbalanced in the flavoring. Too salty. The beef Laab was not made in the traditional sense and was just hamburger meat in fish sauce lime juice and mint. Not a finely chopped cooked steak. Please do yourself a favor and try any of the many #2s in the Valley that are head and shoulders above this poor performing restaurant. My Thai mom would be embarrassed to set plates out like these on a table and with such poor hospitality.

  The best Thai Food in Arizona. The Pad See Ew, pad Thai, and massaman curry are to die for. Btw level 3 spicy is borderline getting to spicy to eat so be warned!

  Absolutely amazing! I get their pad thai, but everything is honestly so good. I always have left overs!

  Delicious Thai food and beverages. My husband had the Pad Thai and the Thai iced coffee. I had the Sizzling Beef and the Thai iced tea. Everything was tasty and made with fresh ingredients. My husband and I very much enjoyed the service as well as the atmosphere. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

  Had the lunch special. The staff was very nice. Service was prompt. The value was high (easily worth the money). I had one of the red curry lunch specials that came with a spring roll and small soup. I was delighted by the taste and amount of food. I will definitely come here again.
