Came here after work and tried to get a beer with some friends but were quickly stared at by the folks here. I didn't mind it much until my friends were bothered to show "papers". Bartender seemed nice but focused on the others first but we waited it out and got our beer and left. Real uneasy atmosphere if you look Hispanic, but the bartender still did their job. I would recommend another of the Irish bars in the city because if you're looking for authentic Irish pub atmosphere then you'll be missing out here. They should go for an American stylized bar instead of saying it's an Irish pub. To summarize my experience here was the scene of Wildhogs walking into the biker bar. If they don't know you or look different, then expect not a great time. Hope they're able to change since it's the closest bar near me.

I like Micks. The problem lies where you don't know if they are serving lunch or dinner. I don't just go to drink but I would drink more if I could order some of that great food cooked by Fuzzy !! I loved steak night. What happened to it ????

I have lived in Wichita my whole life and never been here before but I have always drove by it. Today my wife meet me at work for lunch( I work at APR which is just up the street) and she asked me if I wanted to go to Micks for lunch and I said sure why not it's close to work and I can walk back when I was done. We get there and seat ourselves and saw that they had a 10 oz. KC strip and fried potatoes for $8.50. I told my wife that I was going to get that for lunch and she ended up getting the same thing. We ordered it medium rare and it came out ten minutes later and was the best steak we ever had that was less than 10 dollars. The steak was super tender and easy to cut, it melted in our mouths, it barely had any fat on it. We did expect to get that quality of meat from a bar. I highly recommend you go there the atmosphere was great and the food is even better.
