  The food rates 5 stars. The only reason I'm rating 4 stars is because of the service. My waitress was atrocious. Had to ask the manager to bring what I ordered. No apology, she was very distant. I left her a 20% tip anyway. But the food and atmosphere was really good. I will go again; hopefully I'll get a better server. This young lady acted like she hated her job.

  Very nice restaurant. We had an awesome time with the family. Food was delicious! We tried street tacos and tacos de brisquest, love them! Staff was great plus Gaby the manager was very friendly and concern about our needs.

  I recently visited Mi Cocina in Chapel Hill for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very clean and the staff super friendly. We met Gaby, the manager, and she was very polite and attentive. I tried Tacos Mi Tierra. The food was fresh and tasty and the portions generously sized. I would definitely eat there again.

  Best Mexican food EVER! My waiter Jose Luis recommended a dish for lunch and it was delicious. Okay so I'm back here again a week later, and the other Jose is my server(Jose Luis was off), he recommended the Chicken Ernesto? And it was great!

  The food was delicious, the service was terrible. Party of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids, arrived around 3:30 on Sunday. It was not busy at all but we waited at least 5 minutes to be seated at the front of the restaurant because no one was at the greeters stand. We waited another 10 minutes after being seated for someone to come and take a drink order. Other parties arriving after us were seated and serviced while we continued to wait and watch multiple waiters ignore us including our waiter. Finally we placed our drink and food order together since we waited for so long and they gave us a free appetizer for our inconvenience. The rest of the visit was okay but the damage had already been done. The waiter was given a 16% tip but I'll never eat at that Mi Cocina again because they did not value my business. I've had much better experiences at other Mi Cocina locations.
