::Love this gym! Super clean, great equipment, friendly staff, complimentary classes. I did the flex plan because I knew I wouldn’t be in town for a year. Didn’t have a problem canceling. Just need to tell them before your last payment. So if I was leaving April 1 but was being billed on the 10th of every month, I’d need to tell them before March 10th that I wanted March 10th to be my last payment. Just read what you’re signing and you won’t have a problem! They were super honest and friendly about my cancellation(s) — I actually cancelled a couple times and then renewed before my actual cancel date and they were fine with it. Highly recommend! Favorite gym in NYC!

::Love the Matrix! I have been a member for several years now and Matrix has become like a second home to me. All of the management are extremely knowledgeable and friendly (Allison especially) and I have developed great relations with several of the staff. If you live (or are moving) in the Astoria area, this is the gym for you! Matrix itself is immaculate, well-maintained and is constantly receiving upgrades and improvements. Even during peak hours have I rarely had to wait for access to a machine. For the price range of this gym, you will not find a better deal! I pay in full each year and the price has not changed one cent since I joined. If you need a more non-committal type membership, just tell them what you need and they will work with you. No hassles, no games! Anyone that says otherwise obviously wasn't at Matrix. If you are just beginning your journey into the fitness world, I would definitely recommend taking some personal training classes here as well. I myself took 3 months of training with Allison and learned a ton of advanced techniques and exercises that I have since implemented into my workout routines. I also had a blast doing it! I am confident that any of the highly educated staff will be able to accommodate individual fitness needs and/or goals. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to better their lifestyle. Also, there is ample parking for Astoria (almost too good to be true but it is). Best gym by far! I l love Matrix and look forward to all of my workouts here! Amazing! A++++

::I have my 7 day trail as I am only in NY for a certain time. They are all mostly pushing me to join as I am rarely in NY that much. The gym is nice but it’s too much money for a gym member ship. $62 a month that’s like buying a video game?! Their are other gyms who do it for like $30 and like $20 and they are a nice gym. But $62 a month nah that’s crazy out of my price range. It’s not worth paying $62 for a gym that is decent like it’s not in the heart of Manhattan or LA. Literally it’s down stairs of a mini mall and it’s like basement really.
