::A must go in Sac. Great beer and menu. Their duckfat fries are to die for. It's your typical hipster environment complete with long wooden tables and cool punk waiters. If you're looking for a place to chill, this place is it

::Came for drinks on Saturday evening around 9:30pm. This place was absolutely buzzing. My first time in Sacramento and glad I found this place. Really good vibe. They have a big patio as well where you can have drinks and food.

::I love the outdoor seating that they're dog friendly and they have good beers on tap and a good happy hour. People watching as great as well.

::Lowbrau has become my favorite restaurant in downtown Sacramento! Just finished an impressive Saturday morning brunch with friends. We ordered several dishes and shared. Everything was delicious! The meats (we had a breakfast sausage and the best bacon I've ever had!) are prepared in house and are so flavorful. Lowbrau' s top quality, handmade sausages take 'biscuits and gravy' to a new level. Our house-made waffle was served with fruit preserves and maple syrup. The yogurt and granola is served with shaved coconut, fresh berries and strawberry syrup, and looks like a beautiful brunch dessert. The staff is friendly and attentive, and I appreciate the European-style service. We were able to sit, visit and enjoy our meal without staff hovering and rushing us out. The head chef came out to chat a minute, and told us about the soup (something special she had made for today.) It was incredible! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

::While I appreciate the fact that they make everything (down to their sodas) themselves, everything I had just wasn't that great. I asked for a whiskey and diet Coke...it was super flat and didn't taste good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad also. The bread and pickle we're good, but the sandwich came with broccolini on it and tough chock, both of which made the sandwich hard to chew or bite into. The salad had a yummy dressing, but I feel like beets and turnips in a side salad are risky. Save those additions for the specialty root salad on the menu and keep the side salad simple. Also, the pickles are very spicy (though fresh, delish and house made), so beware if you are sensitive to spice.
