Probably one of my favorite places in the city, everything about this place is fabulous! The atmosphere is quaint cozy and a little crazy in places 😜but everyone from the hostess to the cook is a delight! And the scones.... omg the scones!!! Absolutely To Die For. If you're planning to drop in, chances of getting a table on a weekday are good depending upon the time, but on a weekend- reservations are a must! Don't forget to bring your fancy English hat! But if you did don't worry, they have some on loan here! ♥️♥️♥️

I can't say enough good things about Lovejoy. The place is adorable with couches and tables of all sizes (and floral patterns). My girlfriends and I will gather there ever so often to pretend like we have interesting things to tell each other over a cup of tea and some finger sandwiches. The scones with jam and clotted cream are too tasty to pass on. And so are the smoked salmon and chicken and asparagus sandwiches. But really, we go for the ambiance and delicious mini cakes they serve at the end of the meal. Get the italian wedding cake...it's the only reason to get married!

Two words: devon cream! I guess there are a lot more words... Food: the scones are melt in your mouth fluffy, the crumpets the perfect consistency with a yummy lemon curd, the petit fours perfectly flavored and not overly sweet and artificial as is often the case. Ambience: the place is adorable. It feels like you've traveled to a whole other place and are no longer in SF. I love it! Perfect for showers of any type, parent/child afternoon tea, etc.

This is a great spot for a special lunch, brunch, or casual tea time. They have a wonderful selection of delightful caffeinated and decaffeinated teas. The tea sandwiches are good, the dressing on their salad is good, and the scones are fluffy, delicious magic - smear some Devon cream and lemon curd on them and then float into bliss.
