I have been happily living at Lone Star Gas Lofts for a year now. There is no place idyllic as we would wish but I have to say that it has been really lovely living here. The people in the office are ALWAYS helpful and attentive. They are friendly and show genuine concern that everything is as it should be in all areas. The building is maintained nicely and the artistic touches are endearing. I feel safe and secure in the building and just by chance, I even have a Dallas Police Officer and his wife that live just across the hall from me. I have had occasion to call the Dallas Safety Patrol when I see an indigent person who may be in need that is in the area and that's distressing but a part of living in a vibrant downtown community. I feel Lone Star Gas Lofts is a community and now that we have the Harwood Tavern downstairs, we never need go far to have everything we want right here, especially since the Farmer's Market is just down the street. The events planned by the Management that I have been able to attend have been a lot of fun, especially the New Year's Eve bash which was a classy event. I highly recommend Lone Star Gas Lofts. The building is beautiful and an Historic monument! What's not to love? Oh, I forgot to mention, parking is always available on one of the decks, the pool is nice and cool in the summer and the exercise machines in the lobby are perfect for that quick workout! Five stars in my book!

I’ve lived here for a year and just signed another year. I’m pretty happy with my experience here. It’s affordable. They threw a bomb ass nYE party for the residents and a guest for FREE. They do summer pool activities. It’s quiet. Maintenance comes in a reasonable amount of time. I’ve never had a package lost or missing. I’ve lived in apartments that considered themselves high end and had problems so if you read reviews and there are “problems” I think most of them are personal. The complex as a whole does what we pay them to do. Downtown Dallas is swarming with homelessness and panhandlers this has nothing to do with the apartment complex. It’s not like you wake up and someone is sleeping on your car. It’s just the area. The front office staff is super cool and they know you by name. I’d say that trumps a lot of the complaints on here.

I'm pretty flabbergasted at all the negative reviews for this apartment. My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year and just signed another year lease. We love it here! Yes there are homeless people on the street and yes the fire alarms occasionally go off late at night; welcome to downtown highrise living! In the 15 months we've been here the alarm has only gone off maybe 3 times late at night. I'm also confused about the complaints regarding the visitor parking area. This is downtown; I was excited to find out there was any free parking for visitors. Yes, there is a two hour limit but if you have visitors coming for longer the leasing office will provide a parking pass at no charge. The leasing office has sent out multiple flyers about parking rules. If your car gets towed it's your fault. Speaking of the leasing office staff, they are awesome! If you can't make it home to pick up packages before closing, the staff is kind enough to deliver them to your apartment by request. They are always so helpful anytime I have needed anything and go above and beyond. Maintenance requests are always addressed promptly, if not immediately. For example, our dryer malfunctioned one night around midnight and the maintenance guy was at our door within 15 mins. Honestly, this has been the most pleasant apartment living experience I have had to date. I would definitely recommend this complex!

Their fire alarm is insainly loud and always goes off at random times. 4am, 8am, and it takes them a long time to turn the alarm off. You cannot pay your rent online. You have to physically bring a check to the office. Rent is due the 3rd no matter timing of holidays or weekends. $50 a day late fee. Some people don't have time to go to the bank and physically bring a check. There's is no convenience. If you park in their visitors parking for more than 2 hours, they will tow your car. Even when you have a lone star parking sticker on your window. They do inspections with a days notice and say they can come any time that week. So for a whole week you need to be prepared for them to come. Their last notice said "contain or remove animals from your apartment." "Make sure you are dressed appropriately." I'm guessing they expect to just get rid of dogs or cats for a whole week or cage them daily? I don't have an animal but would be outraged. The way they run things is why I am not resigning my lease. I had a package delivered when the office was closed on a random week. They signed for the package and placed it in the office. There for I could not get my package. I paid for rush delivery for no reason. I also needed this piece of clothing for an event. I would of preferred them to use some common sense and not accept the package, if I was not able to retrieve it. I could of picked the package up from ups myself if so. The notice was a day before, for a week closing. I called and left voicemails but no one responded. Great, just hold my stuff hostage. Nothing here is convenient for you but for them. It's a shame because I love my unit. It's awesome. They are in need of better management. The two gentlemen in the office are nice and just doing their job. Their bosses need to change the way they do things. I will miss my apartment but cannot wait until my lease is finished.

We have had nothing but an outstanding experience with LSG!!! From the leasing/office staff to the maintenance staff to our neighbors. We are thrilled and completely satisfied. The property is spotless, despite being surrounded by construction. The private garage is extremely safe, clean and convenient. The building is a beautiful historical landmark - Hamilton has done a brilliant job of preserving as much as possible (much like their other projects). We really couldn't be happier.
