Amazing historic atmosphere. Wonderful food and an inviting staff. I’ve lived here 24 years and wonder how I missed this gem.

IMPRESSIVE authentic Italian in Golden Triangle. Menu items are outstanding in quality, and service is second-to-none. Quiet, well-appointed, accommodating, and boasts a great regional wine list. Also, +1 for a dog friendly patio!

This is a hidden gem close to downtown in the Golden Triangle neighborhood. I tried 6 items off the menu and it was all delicious. Everything is made from scratch and you can taste the freshness and difference. Lamb chops are amazing, as well as the homemade pastas. The pizza is great too! If you have room for dessert, you will not be dissappointed!! I hear it is now open for lunch.

I just read all the reviews I've ever written for Google in the last few years, and realized they make me look like nothing makes me happy. Really, it's just that I have no patience for the glut of Denver restaurants that feature apathetic service, music so loud you can't have a conversation, and, you know, ramekins of exactly 6 spiced nuts that you're supposed to share. So I'm going to make sure everyone knows about the Denver restaurants that are getting it right. Lo Stella is one of them. My parents and I walked over after seeing the Degas exhibit at the DAM on Friday, 3/2 for my mom's birthday. We had a wonderful time! The staff were friendly and attentive! The atmosphere was cozy and lively, but we could still hear each other! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced for the portion sizes! Our server, who was actually Italian, practiced Italian with my mom and and was very sweet to her. He even hooked us up with the most sublime slice of carrot cake ever crafted. We'll absolutely be back!
