  ETA: Looks like this place closed, but I hope the owner or his family reads this because I'd like to say thank you! I have a soft spot in my heart foe you guys. I first went to Librería Española about 15 years ago. I bought many books that started me off in my translation career, which at that time were extremely difficult to find anywhere else. The elderly Ecuadorian gentleman who was the owner walked me through what are the best glossaries and books. He was obviously uncommonly well-read and familiar with a variety of Spanish literature. The shop is one of those rare gems of Houston the way it was for so many years: a small business run out of a cozy, unassuming old house by a friendly, knowledgeable proprietor who is always on site. Last I saw, the owner was pretty elderly and his daughters were helping to run things, which may explain the restricted hours. If you love Spanish books, go see them!

  Went on Saturday, could not find. When I called the number it said they are only open Mon and Wed. Good luck finding this place even if they do ever open!
