::$9.10 for a Burger Fries and soft drink. Not as much as the chains like Red Robin, but more than a run-of-the-mill at McDonalds. So you'd assume that a locally owned place charging you that price would give you something worth at least that, right? Well, don't expect it here. First of all, I feel it is really telling that the owner lovingly comments "thank you" on every positive post but leaves no reply on negative posts. I want to ask them why. I ordered a simple hamburger, their basic offering, with fries and a drink. It came out stupid fast. Like 2 minutes! The meat was lukewarm, dry, and just bland. The cheese was stiff and cold, like even though it was on a hot burger made on a hot grill, it felt like it came right out of a cooler. I was instantly unhappy. But unhappiness doesn't drive me to Google to write a review. What I saw next is though. The next customer who stopped in ordered a burger too. I was sitting at the counter, so I could watch it be made. The cook pulled open a warming tray drawer thing of pre-cooked burger patties, slapped one back on the grill, and left it just long enough for the fries to be reheated and threw it all on a plate. Wendys, Carl's Jr, McDonalds--the bottom rung of burger fast food--don't even pre-cook patties anymore. Not to mention that barely three miles away from Lennys is an In-n-Out where I can beat their price by $2 and get fresh never frozen food. Or, I could go two miles south and get 5 Guys and pay the same and get something that starts as a ball--not even patty--of meat before I order it. Seriously, you'd think a local shop would take pride in itself given the stiff competition from chains, but Lenny's takes no pride. And this can't be blamed on a lazy cook, or unaware manager here either. I blame the owner. Because if the owner cared, that pre-cooked meat drawer container thing wouldn't be in their establishment. But it is. It isn't hard to cook a meat patty when its ordered. I don't even care if the meat was pre-frozen. A meat patty that is cooked anywhere from minutes to hours before its put back on the grill to be made into a burger for a customer is an insult this day and age. I see the number of positive reviews and I just don't get it. Maybe they visited when the store was too busy for pre-made food? I went at 5pm on a Thursday... I was one of four customers. Regardless, any hour, any day, if your food isn't at least cooked for me, you don't deserve my $9 or $10 or any dollars. I can get fresh at McDonalds--and they don't deserve my money either, but after last Thursday, they're more likely to get it than Lenny.

::Love this place, local burger chain, seasoned salt on french fries, expanded menu to include other hot sandwiches, shakes & malts or good soft drink selection, very friendly staff and customer service is something here, other sandwich shops, any other business for that matter, could take a lesson from.

::It isn't healthy but that's not why you're here. It's good fast food and they have amazing malts at great prices. The line can get long at lunch time so try to get there before noon.
