The building color is painted and looks awful. Staff was friendly. Stairway carpet dirty. Room carpet not vacuumed. Shower was messed up dials turned opposite directions. Shower head sprayed too hard no adjusting. Smelled like smoke in hallways. Beds were rock hard but sheets looked nice. Breakfast was simple.

First off the room we requested and paid for was a smoking room. Then when we got there we were told we couldn't have a smoking room because they were already full. Then even though I paid with my credit card to intially rent the room. We had to pay another 50 dollar deposit off of credit/debit card...which wasn't the bad part because that's pretty standard. What's frustrating is its going to take 2 weeks to get the money put back into my account..and to tip it off the service was super in personable and rude. I won't be staying there ever again.

Reasonable price but first time I left the hotel I had a cop follow me. Then the same cop followed me thru the parking lot when I got back and was going to come talk to me until he saw 3 kids get out of my car. And I booked a smoking room. And didn't get one.then they HAD to run my debit card for a 50 dollar deposit that I may not get back for 14 BUSINESS DAYS!!! THAT'S ABSURD!!!

Well, the desk staff was helpful, personable and courteous. Beyond that...I really want to be positive. I do. However, it's clear that someone takes very little pride in this hotel. Stains and damage abound. Our first room was beyond dated - but not in a cool retro way - more like a rundown sad way. It was also not clean and certainly overpriced. Very disappointing. We were somewhat relieved to move to a second room which was less dated - more like circa 1996 and a little less expensive. Still, paint was chipping on door frames, cracks exist in the ceiling, there were smeary handprints all over the windows. Nearly every surface had stains: the couch, a chair, bed linens, the bedding on the pullout couch, towels, a lamp shade. The hallway of the nonsmoking floors smells of smoke. When I went to purchase sodas, the pop machine gave the wrong bottles. The desk staff was apologetic but explained the machine is often incorrectly stocked. When I returned downstairs to request a clean sheet, I showed pictures of the stains and room damage. The desk staff apologized but shrugged and said, "yeah, I know what you mean." Also, can I just ask, what's the deal with displaying the shampoo and soap on the back of the toilet tank? Eww. May I recommend placing this next to the sink instead for a nicer presentation, or at least on the tub ledge. Please, not the toilet.

Staff is nice, floor plan of hotel room is good, and place feels "comfy" during the day. Major problems here are the tenants/guests in the building. There was constant late night loud activity going on -- both insides the building and in the parking lot throughout all hours of the night (what sounded like domestic disputes/gang/drug type of activity/etc.). The stay felt like living in a bad neighborhood or something. Hopefully the GM/staff can address this as it takes away from an otherwise good experience. And wifi speeds were decent although there's quite a bit of connection/packet loss where you get disconnected and have to reconnect often during busy times. I tested my speeds at 5 megs down/0.5 up.
