  There was a live roach, in their napkins, when I got to my table with the napkins it fell out onto the table. I saw another one crawling on the floor. I was embarrassed to let the guy at the counter know. I had already eaten and paid for my food, so I left. Will not be returning.

  I have been visiting for years and they just keep getting better and better. Tamales are fantastic. Sunday Brunch is simple but great. Very quite brunch without the hassle and hurry of other hip joints.

  Great breakfast tacos, they even gave us free champagne while we waited, will definitely come back.

  Third location for this family-operated East Dallas institution over the last 40-odd years. This version offers a more involved dine-in experience than former versions, but retains the easy access to take-home tamales that has served two generations of locals so well. Several regular varieties of tamales, and the occasional one-of, like turkey, are always hot, packaged in foil, and ready to go.
