  This was the best medical procedure I've ever received. Holly my tech was fantastic. The ultrasound gel was warmed before. She announced what she was doing for every step so there were no surprises. A shaperone came in for the internal portion which I think is fantastic. I also got a Sunday appointment and there way no wait!

  I will not come here again. When I entered the exam room for an ultrasound, I told the technician, who did not introduce herself, that I was having a panic attack and would not be able to hear well because one of my hearing aids was broken. She seemed disinterested. I am a large, handicapped person with poor social skills, so I'm odd but completely harmless. I felt as if I was treated as a problem, instead of a cooperative patient with excellent insurance. Later, the technician made a disparaging and unprofessional comment about my undergarments. She used the term "pee" instead of "urinate," also unprofessional. She wouldn't let me see the screen after I commented that I thought I could see what my doctor was looking for on the image. The resulting report cited my size as an excuse for poor quality imaging, rather than inadequate technician training or possibly poorly maintained, outdated equipment. A few years back, I had a similar experience when a technician made a negative comment about my legs, which are deformed due to a medical condition. The Americans With Disabilities Act prohibits medical businesses from refusing service to the handicapped, but businesses can and do make patients unwelcome so they take their business elsewhere. John Hopkins Medical Imaging's staff needs training to meet the ordinary needs of the odd, the large, and the handicapped patient. We need and deserve the same quality of care as the able bodied.

  The doctors and radiologist are amazing. Your mammogram should not feel like an injury. I should’ve stopped the tech but I didn’t. I suffered whole chest bone sharp pain from August 17th and still suffering Sep 1st. The woman was young and had lot of strength so she used her whole strength. Make sure you stop them the minute you feel pain. There are other techs in there who are beautiful and gentile. (Diane) It’s the best imaging place around so just speak up right away.

  I did not have a good experience with a mammogram yesterday. I was there for a diagnostic exam. Not only was the technician rough and rushing with my exam but no one bothered to tell me that I had to wait for the Dr. to give my a diagnosis before I could leave. Also my scar is all red today. reat

  From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I was treated like a VIP. Every single person - from front desk to the nurses to the radiology techs - was amazing. Professional and compassionate during an anxious time - I won't soon forget all of their kindness and great care.
