As a rental pilot, (and ex-CFI) I have worked with Augustine and the Jetexe crew (on and off) for over two years now, keeping myself 'current' (and subsequently, safer!) From Venus at the front desk, to operations manager Chris, the entire staff have always been consummate customer service folks. They talk TO you, not AT you. I am a person, not a number. Augustine goes out of his way to share what seems to be an endless wealth of aviation (and life) knowledge. All gratis! Highly recommend! Note: not sure what's up with "Anonymous' below, but I have never known the school to demand money in advance for anything. They have always been up front with me about costs, and always transparent about their programs.

I am very impressed with the training I have received so far for my private pilot's license. This is not your average flight school, don't come here if you are not willing to take your training seriously and work hard. You will be a better pilot if you do. At Jetexe, they take their motto of "Creating Future Airline Captains" seriously. I will be doing all of my training from private to CFI here.

Fantastic school. Staff is really friendly and treats everyone with compassion. Whichever pilot rating you are going for this is the school for you. I recommend coming in and talking to either Venus or Chris at the front desk about pricing and to look at the planes and simulators. Training is thorough and has operating procedures beyond what is taught at other schools which means safer pilots. This school has a maintenance facility which means low downtime for repairs and required inspections.

Very surprised to see that none of these previous reviews are from students - If you're a student, please don't do what I did... I went to Jetexe a short while ago, interested in a aviation career. The owner, Augustine, was seemingly very generous with the time he spent speaking with me about the school and why he thought commercial aviation was suitable for me. He spoke poorly of other schools safety ratings, spoke of his "excellent" instructors, etc.. Initially, he was very pushy and told me "You either start today or you'll never go through with it", which I declined. After much contemplation, I decided I was willing to give Jetexe a try for flight training.. That was a horrible mistake... I called to schedule with an instructor a few weeks after my initial meeting with Augustine, and I was told I needed to be there in-person for my first scheduling - I was also told to bring a check. After arrival, I was told I needed to put a down payment on my account before I could schedule with an instructor. I would of liked to put a few hundred down, but Augustine had a minimum of $1,000 and was persistent in me placing $5,000 on the account. I ended up putting down an obscene amount of money on my account after being told I could start training that week. I called many times throughout that week.. That week turned into multiple weeks, then months. I called about getting my deposit back, and was told it was non-refundable. At the time, the single instructor available had very limited availability and was focused on finishing his students then ending his flight training career. During this waiting period, I would head down to the flight school to study and ask questions. Augustine would sometimes invite me into his office to talk, or take me out the plane to go over the instruments. Little did I know I was being charged by Augustine for his "training" - I simply thought he was being generous. Sometimes it would be $150 for a rather short, 20 minute conversation. I ended up being tossed about between six different instructors during my time at Jetexe. Between each instructor was multiple months of twiddling my thumbs, it unmotivated me very quickly and it felt like I was going backwards more than I was progressing. Occasionally, I would go up with Augustine and he would provide training.. Little did I know, he was completely unqualified and I had to remove those flights from my logbook due to the fact that they were illegal. At one time, I had a decent instructor whom was quite knowledgeable.. Sadly he left after a short time due to the fact that the commute costed more than what he was getting paid. A lot of the instructors I did not feel comfortable with at all, one in particularly would be on his phone while I flying the aircraft.. Even during takeoff and landing. Many instructors would have no objective when we would fly, and would have to think of tasks for me on the spot. A lot of milk runs... During my last waiting period, I couldn't stand it anymore.. I experienced multiple issues the 172, which was usually the only aircraft that was airworthy. I had two alternator failures, no lights on the panel, only one working VOR, etc.. The fact that they do in-house repairs worried me, and I did not feel safe. I always thought of how corners might be cut to save funds. There was always an excuse on why Augustine wasn't able to find an instructor, usually he would tell me "They're just not good enough"... I take that very hard to believe. I spoke with a few flight instructors at that school, as well as many students and realized I ended up making a huge mistake by attempting my flight training at Jetexe. After leaving the school, I promptly got my PPL elsewhere without issue. I really hope that my experience will help those of you whom are just starting out in aviation. Please don't make the mistake that I did. Do your research on what make a good flight school, trust your instincts, etc.. Good luck!

I took a Discovery Flight with my son and a friend who are both special need boys. JetEXE and their staff were so accommodating. They allowed us to sample the simulator, which is an awesome piece of technology. Our pilot explained step by step the proper procedures and all the flying safety requirements. He also took the time to let the boys enjoy feeling like they were part of the operation by doing small things like untying the aircraft and pointing out all the parts of the aircraft on walk around inspection. Anyone considering flying MUST consider JetEXE. And by the way, the first thing you realize upon arrival in the lobby is how clean and neat the place is. Even the repair shop was spotless. Do yourself a favor. Before you visit a hundred flight schools, visit JetEXE at Sacramento Executive Airport first. Our flight experience was great.
